Avetta has strengthened two integrations within its supply chain risk management platform to provide faster access to worker background checks and motor carrier safety performance data.

The Utah-based software company expanded its integration with DISAGlobal Solutions to include background checks alongside drug and alcohol testing, and upgraded its integration with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in the U.S. to an API-based model that reduces data delays.

Background checks added to worker screening

The enhanced DISA integration allows hiring clients to request and retrieve background check results directly within Avetta Worker Management and view results in real time. Clients can establish custom pass/fail flags to ensure workers meet specific requirements.

Nearly half of workers admit to falsifying qualifications on resumes, and underqualified or non-compliant workers are more than three times as likely to experience an injury, according to Avetta.

“Through this expanded integration with Avetta, organizations can access a comprehensive picture of worker readiness together with other critical data in a unified platform so they can streamline supplier prequalification and elevate safety across their operations,” said Shane Solheim, senior vice president of global channel partnerships at DISA.

Real-time motor carrier performance data

The upgraded FMCSA integration provides clients with current visibility into motor carrier performance through an API-based connection that reduces data latency. The system is designed to help clients identify at-risk motor carriers and make sourcing decisions within the Avetta platform.

More than 500,000 large truck accidents impacted the transportation of goods in the United States in 2023, resulting in 5,472 fatalities and 153,452 injuries, according to the company.

“The enhanced integrations we’re introducing today build on the foundation we’ve established with DISA and FMCSA to eliminate critical blind spots and dramatically accelerate confident decision-making,” said Dawn Andre, chief product officer at Avetta.

Platform serves multiple industries

Avetta’s software platform manages supplier safety, sustainability, worker competency and performance across industries including construction, energy, facilities, manufacturing, mining and telecom. The company performs contractor prequalification and worker competency management globally.
