Data-driven journalism on the risks facing Canadian workers, built to move as you scroll. Charts build, numbers land and you can find where your workplace fits.
What is interactive storytelling?
Claims data, inspection results and injury rates are hard to take in as a list of numbers. Our interactives turn them into one clear story, told beat by beat, so you can see what changed and what it means on the floor.
01
Each story unfolds in short sections. Bars grow, lines draw and key figures count up as you reach them, so the point lands before you move on.
02
Toggles and selectors let you filter by sector, region or job, so you can see how the findings apply to your own workers.
03
Every figure comes from the source and is checked against it. Each piece names where its data comes from and how to read it. No estimates, no outside numbers.
The library
WSIB plans to cut about 500 jobs and close 10 regional offices. Ontario’s paramedic union says the workers who get hurt most often will pay for it.

Research, claims figures, inspection results or a survey your organization has run: if it can help Canadian workplaces stay safer, we want to hear about it.
